how it works

Grocery Gecko is a unique shopping and delivery service that comes FROM Puna and is designed FOR Puna.  The massive size and limited roads of Puna have made delivery a challenge in the past.  Grocery Gecko understands that we have to be creative and cooperative to enjoy this luxury service.  Read on to understand how we're making it work:

1 Planning: Look at your list of errands.  Can any of them be paid for over the phone and ready for us to pick up and bring to you?  Or, do you have something that needs to be dropped off somewhere else?  That's an easy flat rate of $20 - from any store, to (just about) any home in Puna.  Familiarize yourself with our pricing structure to determine what Gecko Delivery can do for you.  Alternatively, we can also pick up something from your Puna home and take to a destination - like prepaid parcels that need to get to the post office.

2 Ordering: Click on "Place An Order" to get in touch with us and see how we can help.  If you need shopping service on top of delivery, we'll calculate your total bill to include the cost of your order, including our fee.

3 Payment: Payment for your final bill is accepted through Venmo (@geckodelivery) and Paypal (grocerygecko@gmail.com).  Major credit cards are accepted through Square, and personal checks can be accepted at the time of delivery.

4 Preparing: If you would like your order left in a designated cooler or container, get it ready outside at your gate, garage, or porch.  Be available for Gecko Delivery to contact you with any questions to ensure a successful delivery.

5 Pau! With payment squared away, your order will be left at the designated location.  Gecko Delivery is supported by you and continues to serve the Puna community, and you get to check a chore off your list without leaving the house!  Cheeeeeeeehuuuuu!
